Rio Maggiore, Italy by jenansul Rio Maggiore, Italy by jenansul
Rio Maggiore, Cinque Terre, Italy. The Cinque Terre was definitely my utmost favorite place I have ever been. This is one of my favorite photos. It was so peaceful and beautiful in this area. We, however, stayed in Vernazza. (And Vernazza was my favorite of the five towns!)

Superb POV and colours. I'm going to Lago Maggiore this September so I must find this place.

Where I started cliff diving! God I want to go back there. Hell, I want to live in Vernazza. It's probably my favorite place on earth, followed closely by Makrinitsa in Greece.

Yes! This is where I was first exposed to cliff-diving as well! I wrote about it recently in a Spanish paper... It was so much fun. This is where I want to live!

...And I need to go to Greece. But I yearn for Vernazza every waking moment.

Me too ^_^
If someone were to ask me what I wanted heaven to be like, it would be Vernazza.

My uncle owns land in Carrara, and the first thing I'll do when I inherit it is sell half and try to buy a place in Vernazza.

Greece is wonderful, and Makrinitsa is an amazingly romantic town. Much like Cinque Terre there are no autos allowed. The streets are ancient white cobblestone, and many of the trees are jet black and it creates a dreamlike quality. Much of the water still flows from the same fountains and statuary laid down by the Roman invasion, So the town is like a very large statuary garden.
Some great pictures toward the middle of this site... [link]

Eesh... I'm long winded, sorry.

Oh man. It looks amazing. But my heart belongs to Vernazza. I will be back there the moment I get the opportunity.
